SPCB team seizes 4000 kg banned polythene material from transport company

JAMMU, DECEMBER 19: The team of State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) Jammu (South) under the supervision of Regional Director, Shally Ranjan conducted raid at a transport company at Transport Nagar Narwal and seized 4000 KG polythene material which was being transported to the Kashmir valley.

Pertinently, the raid has been conducted on the basis of specific inputs given by the Commercial Taxes Department regarding the presence of banned polythene material in the company.

The team was comprised of Er. A.B Jandial, Er. Arshad Malik, Er. Anupam Kaul, Er. Chander Singh Kotwal.

Shally Ranjan appealed the traders, shopkeepers, hawkers to avoid storage and sale of banned polythene material as the use of polythene carry bags, packaging material and other allied products having thickness less than 50 microns has been banned by the Government.
