Punjab, Sept 20 : Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal and some of his party workers were booked for thrashing a Congress worker during Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti polls, voting for which was held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
The case was registered on the complaint of Jatinderpal Singh who had alleged that he was thrashed by the Akali workers led by the SAD president at village Killianwali in the Lambi Assembly constituency.
Former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal represents this constituency the Vidhan Sabha.
