Today was the meant for distt. Bandipora, of a week long Army recruitment rally being held here in Kashmir from 16th of May to 23th of May. Thousands of participants from all districts of the valley took part in this recruitment rally. While talking to media, the participants said that because of employment crises in the state it was a golden opportunity for the local youth to get absorbed in a Govt. service while some others said that it was their childhood dream to join army. The recruitment drive in kashmir seems to attract a large number of youth despite the turbulent political scenario in Kashmir.
While giving details to media, CO 14 RR PS Joshi said that more than nine thousand youth of the valley registered their names for the rally and more than seven thousand of them appeared for the recruitment. He said that the authorities were overwhelmed by the fact that such a huge number appeared for the recruitment. He said that it gave a very good message keeping in view the present conditions of the valley. He thanked the entire distt. administration for the support being provided to make this week long rally a successful event.
