Suspected militants on Friday night abducted a police constable from his home in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports said that the gunmen barged inside the home of Mohammad Saleem Shah son of Abdul Gani Shah of Mutalhama village late last night and abducted him.
Saleem, who was earlier working as a Special Police Officer (SPO) was recently promoted as constable.
He had come home on leave few days back from Kathua where he was undergoing training
A police official said that a manhunt has been launched to trace him.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered and further investigations have been taken up.
