A Moga court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his wife here in 2015.
The court of District and Sessions Judge Tarsem Mangla on Thursday sentenced Rasham Singh, a resident of Moga, to life for murdering his 50-year-old wife Parkash Kaur with a sharp-edged weapon while she was asleep.
Police had registered a case against the accused on March 7, 2015 under Section 302 (murder) of IPC after a complaint was lodged by the victim’s mother Raj Kaur.
Prosecution alleged that the accused had murdered his wife as he suspecting her of having an illicit affair.PTI
