2 mortar shells from Pak fall near Army brigade in Poonch: Officials

Two mortar shells fired by Pakistan fell near army brigade headquarters in Degwar area of Poonch district on early Tuesday following which the army retaliated, officials said.

Station House Officer (SHO) Poonch Mohammad Anzar Mir told that two shells landed near the army establishment at around 7:30 a.m.

He said there were no immediate reports about any casualty in the incident.

Meanwhile an army official told media that troops deployed in the Gulpur sector retaliated and responded to “ceasefire violation”.

Asked about any damage on either side, he said details will be shared as soon as they emerge.
