Forest Deptt organizes orientation training prog for newly recruited forest guards

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 21: The Forest Department today organized an orientation training programme for newly recruited forest guards at Chitternar Forest Complex in Bandipora Forest Division.

Recently appointed 22 forest guards attended the orientation programme. DFO Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Bhat interacted with the forest guards and deliberated on the topics of basic duties of a forest guard, working of different wings of the Forest department, organizational setup of Territorial divisions and also familiarized the new recruits with Nursery management practices.

The fresh entrants were given exposure to basic depot maintenance and timber extraction process and the use of different code forms also.

On the occasion, Principal, Kashmir Forestry Training School Chitternar Wasim Gul delivered a special lecture about the J&K forests, their importance and the need for forest protection.

Divisional Manager, State Forest Corporation, Assistant Directors of Forest Protection Force Bandipora, Territorial Forest Range Officers, Block officers and other concerned attended the programme.
