Ambala: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that the BJP has been doing politics in the name of cow and has done nothing for its welfare.

He was here to meet a religious guru near Mohra village in Ambala.

Speaking to mediapersons, Kejriwal said, “The BJP has been doing politics in the name of cow and wants to reap votes. But it has not been doing anything for their welfare. The BJP should make efforts for the protection of cows. There will be no benefit from declaring cow a national animal until there is willpower to work for their welfare. The Delhi government has been running ‘gaushalas’ and also providing financial aid to private ‘gaushalas’.”

“Despite all obstacles, the AAP government in Delhi has improved education, healthcare, water and power facilities. The people of Haryana should decide what kind of government they want,” he added.

AAP state chief Naveen Jaihind said, “Several candidates have raised doubts over the win of the BJP in mayoral elections. The way Chief Minister has participated in the elections and sought votes in the name of being Punjabi is an example of BJP’s caste-based politics. Only the AAP can beat the BJP in Haryana.”
