Srinagar: BJP had today a shot in arm when a large number of leaders and workers from National Conference (NC) and People’s Party (PDP) stormed out of their parties and joined Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Patimhal area of Distt Kishtwar in presence of Sunil Sharma, former Power Minister of J & K state at a scintillating and impressive function.With this joining the whole cadre of NC and PDP has been wiped out from the area.
Welcoming the leaders and workers of NC and PDP into the BJP fold, Sunil Sharma congratulated them and said that they had taken a right decision as BJP is the only party which has proved its strength and faith by coming up to the expectations of the people irrespective of their religion, caste and region.
Sharma said BJP would continue to work for the common masses especially the downtrodden and the poor.He added that Kishtwar has seen so much of progress during his short term of ministry which NC could not do in five decades.He said that peace and development are his priority areas.
The new entrants were raising slogans in favour of Sunil Sharma and BJP amidst cheers of enthusiastic people.The former minister was accompanied by the senior leadership of the party.
