SHOPIAN, MAY 22: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Gazanfar Ali, today convened a meeting to review the functioning of the Revenue department.
The meeting reviewed the status of digitization of revenue records, mutations, settlements, land acquisition and relief and rehabilitation measures in the district.
The DC said the department holds a key for efficient and effective grievance redress in the district and impressed on the officers to ensure total commitment to their work.
He directed the revenue officers to organize camps under the Public Service Guarantee Act for timely delivery of public services and redressal of public grievances. He also directed the field agencies to tour their respective areas of jurisdiction for redressal of grievances about revenue related matters.
Ali also emphasized the importance of implementation of Public Service Guarantee and Right to Information acts in letter and spirit and directed the concerned officers to maintain proper records of applications received and disposed thereof.
