A symposium on “recent updates: Myofascial Trigger Points” was organized by of Physiotherapy, PGIMER,Chandigarh . The eminent speaker Dr. med.Hannes Muller-Ehrenberg(MD),orthopaedic surgeon,president & founder : German Myofascial Pain Society talked about recent advancements in diagnostic criteria and management approach for Myofascial pain syndrome. Dr Hannes emphasized not to be purely dependent on various investigative procedures for joint and musculoskeletal pains. Recognition and reproduction of symptoms was his suggestion for clinical examination in patients of Myofascial Pain Syndrome. Dr. Babita Ghai, professor, Department of Anesthesia also discussed various aspects of low back pain management in post spinal surgery cases. Dr. Jitendra and Dr.Ram Babu professor,Dav Isntitute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation discussed the issues of pain management with Dr. Hannes. Dr. Pradeep Sarkar and Dr.Hariharan falicitated and conveyed thanks giving to Dr. Hannes and all the eminent audience from various institutions to make the event as pool of knowledge sharing.
