Jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) died under mysterious circumstances at Border Out Post (BOP) Rajpura in Pargwal area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Khour.
“Yesterday at about 7 AM, the sound of a gun-shot was heard at BOP Rajpura, BSF 92 Battalion in Pargwal area” a police official said.
He said when other Jawans rushed to the site, Head Constable Brij Kumar Tiwari son of Jamuna Tiwari, resident of Sasbara, district Bokara, who was on duty at the Post, was found dead in a pool of blood.
“In this regard, inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC initiated at police post Pargwal while the dead body of the deceased Jawan was handed over to BSF after postmortem at Sub District Hospital Akhnoor.
