Government forces on Friday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Wagad village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that a joint team of Jammu & Kashmir police and army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched the operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of militants.
He said door-to-door searches were going on in the area. “So far no contact was established with the militants,” he said.
