ADC Baramulla launches Measles Rubella Vaccination campaign

BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 24: With an aim to eliminate measles and control Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) in the district, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba today launched Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign at Government Girls Middle School Khawaja Bagh Baramulla.

CMO, CEO, Deputy CMO, BMO Sheeri and senior functionaries from the Health Department were present on the occasion.

On the occasion, Deputy CMO Dr Jozy Bashir informed that about 329395 children aged between 9 months and 15 years shall be vaccinated during the campaign.

It was said that 365620 vaccinations are required involving 885 health workers who shall vaccinate the children in different schools and ICDS centres.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC impressed upon the concerned to work in close coordination for the overall success of the campaign. He said that no children should remain unvaccinated besides the inclusion of children in remote and far-flung areas of the district.
