Schools closed as India, Pakistan trade fire along LoC in Rajouri

The district administration has closed schools located near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir after the armies of India and Pakistan heavy fire and shelling.

Reports said the armies of two countries exchanged fire along the LoC in Pukharni, Lam and Keri areas of the district.

“Intense shelling is going on in both Lam and Keri areas,” said an official.

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Assad said that all schools falling within five kilometres from the LoC in Keri and Lam areas have been closed immediately.
