ANANTNAG, MAY 25; District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today visited Shri AmarnathJi Yatra Transit camps at Mirbazaar and Walnut Factory Qazigund and took stock of the arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of the Yatra 2018. The DDC was accompanied by a team of officers and engineers from Municipality, PDD, PHE, Tourism, R&B, Health and other departments.
The DDC took detailed review of the arrangements put in place at the transit camps regarding drinking water supply, accommodation, Medicare arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, besides provision of adequate ration and other essential commodities.
The DDC further directed the officers concerned to make proper arrangements for solid waste disposal before the commencement of the Yatra. He stressed upon the maintenance of cleanliness and effective sanitation within the camp areas so that the pilgrims do not face any inconvenience during the course of Yatra
