The famous ‘Chhari Yatra’ associated with Lord Shiva reached Budha Amarnath temple in Poonch with its cavalcade of sadhus and devotees. ‘Chhari Yatra’ or ‘Chhari Mubarak’ is the annual journey of Lord Shiva’s holy mace to the cave shrine. The custodian priest of the holy mace led the procession. Chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Bum Bum Bhole’ echoed during the yatra. The mace will reach the cave shrine on August 26 on the occasion of Rakhsha Bandhan, amidst tight security arrangements. Nearly 20 thousand people are said to have taken part in this stage of the yatra.
