Bombs Hurled At TMC Procession, One Injured

The state witnessed many clashes after and before the Panchayat vote. Supreme Court had already gave verdict in the favour of state ruling party.

Some miscreants hurled bombs to the TMC member after the verdict had given by the Supreme Court. The incident happened at Turupgarihat village of Sadaipur Police Station in Birbhum on Saturday. The local TMC leaders alleged that miscreants are from BJP.

According to local sources, after the final verdict in Panchayat case, the Trinamool started procession in Turupgarihat village. Apsar Hossain, local TMC leader joined the Vijay Procession. At that time, a bomb hurled towards him. He admitted to the Suri Hospital immediately. Sources also added that, he was a policeman by profession.

Apsar Hossain alleged that BJP sheltered miscreants Sheikh Garib and his teammates attacked him. Although the police could not arrest the accused till now.

BJP denied the allegations. TMC, in Panchayat polls have won all the constituencies of Birbhum district without any fight. The same picture is seen in most seats of Panchayat Samity and Gram Panchayat.
