Ambala, December 24: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday claimed that corruption was rampant during previous governments. He was here to address ‘Jan Vikas Jan Vishwas Rally’.
He laid foundation stones of VLDA college, ‘swarna jayanti’ park and mini-secretariat. He inaugurated newly renovated CHC in Chaurmastpur village.
Renovation of the CHC was a long-pending demand as the old building was declared unsafe in 2009. These projects were worth around Rs 100 crore.
Khattar launched a ‘Vikas Patra’ carrying details of work done in the constituency over the last four years. He handed over e-golden cards under Ayushman Bharat scheme to five beneficiaries.
“Providing healthcare facilities at the village level is among the top priorities of the government. The government has ample funds and will take loans as well if need be,” he said.
“Corruption has decreased to 19 per cent from 51 per cent in 2014. We need to eliminate the rest, for which had brought transparency. Our MC poll wins have made it clear that people have faith in the BJP,” he said.
“Insured farmers who have suffered losses due to hailstorm will get between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000 per acre. The uninsured will get between Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000. Farmers must insure their crops,” he said.
In an indirect attack on the INLD, he said, “The infighting is not for power, but for money hoarded in the past through corruption.” He added, “The government has started a scheme to strengthen roads to farms.”
Ambala City MLA Aseem Goel said, “I will send a letter to the Delhi Chief Minister, asking him to compare his clinics with this new CHC. The Congress tried to show black flags as it had no issue.”
MP Ratan Lal Kataria and Minister of State Nayab Singh Saini were present. AAP workers released black balloons from various locations near the venue.
