POONCH MAY 26: The District Election Authorities Poonch today organised a twenty five day training session for Booth Level Officers(BLOs).
They will be trained in ‘House to house verification of pre filled BLO registers’ during the course which will continue till June 20, 2018. The BLOs will be trained in the use of hybrid mobile app’ to acquaint them with online voter registration and updation mechanism. The training will be held under the overall supervision of District Election Officer Mohammad Aijaz Asad.
The training programme would be held at three different places across the district involving the AEROs and BLOs of corresponding number of Assembly constituencies of the district. For Assembly constituency 87-Haveli the training has been organised at Degree College Poonch, while for Surankote constituency the training was conducted at GHSS Surankote and for Mendhar constituency training was organised at Degree College Mendhar.
Speaking on the occasion the EROs highlighted the importance of fault free BLO registers for fair conduct of election. They emphasised upon BLOs to ensure that no household is left out from verification process of pre filled BLO registers.
The training program was aimed to update the BLOs about adoption of ICT tools like ERO NET launched by the Election Commission of India for online delivery of services. BLOs were made aware of procedure for conduct of house to house verification of pre filled BLO registers and use of mobile based applications to make necessary corrections.
The training was conducted through video & power point presentation by District Informatics Officer & District Level Master Trainers (DLMT) Barkat Choudhary and Abdul Ghani.
They explained the trainees about online processing of forms through ERO net and role of BLO in online processing of forms besides highlighting other features like ER management and polling station management.
