Rohtak: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhay Chautala has said no leader of their party had expected his brother Ajay Chautala of doing saudebaazi (deal) and using the kind of language he did.
“There are certain politicians who negotiate and strike deals with anybody to further their vested interests, but nobody had expected Ajay to do such saudebaazi and use that kind of language against me and our father,” Abhay said while talking to mediapersons here on Sunday.
Without taking their names, Abhay alleged Dushyant and Digvijay had met Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda, his son Deepender, MLA Karan Dalal and BJP leaders Anil Jain and Rao Inderjit and hatched a conspiracy to weaken the INLD.
“I have sought substantial evidence of meetings and will soon come out with dates of the meetings and other details,” the INLD leader said, adding that he had documentary evidence of the Chief Minister indulging in corruption and would furnish it at a press conference.
In response to a question, he disclosed that the INLD would contest the mayoral elections on the party symbol on four seats, while one mayoral seat would be contested by its alliance partner BSP.
He said a three-member committee comprising the party president, general secretary and vice-president had been constituted to select the party candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
Haryana Adhikar Yatra will be launched from Kurukshetra on December 1 to press for the completion of the SYL canal, revival of the Dadupur-Nalvi canal and compensation for the state farmers for the bungling in paddy purchase, he added.
About AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal praising Dushyant Chautala, Ahay quipped that Kejriwal was the leader who had made Navjot Sidhu leave the BJP and put him in such a situation that he was left with no alternative but to join the Congress.
