The 10 Pakistani terrorists who laid siege to Mumbai this day ten years ago had spared Muslims during their attack.
This according to Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy (he later admitted that the statement was “factually” wrong). Roy was tweeting on the 10th anniversary of the November 26, 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
“[Today is the] 10th anniversary of the Paki-sponsored slaughter of innocents (except Muslims) at Mumbai,” Roy said in a tweet. “Does anyone remember why we didn’t even downgrade our diplomatic relations with the Pakis (let alone break off such relations and go to war)?”
Moments after tweeting this, Roy took down his tweet and posted a clarification.
“I was misinformed of the Paki-sponsored killers of 26/11 having spared Muslims. In fact several Muslims were killed. It was a mistake of facts and I am sorry for the same. The relevant tweet has been deleted,” Roy said in a new tweet.
