PGIMS doctor foils kidnap bid

Rohtak: Two motorcycle-borne youths allegedly tried to kidnap a doctor serving at the local PGIMS around midnight. The doctor, however, managed to escape.

In an FIR lodged at the PGIMS police station, Dr Gopal Krishna, Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery, said: “I was returning home from the PGIMS super-speciality block last nigh when two youths stopped their bike and pushed me. One of them grabbed me and the other, who was talking on phone, told somebody to bring a car. I managed to escape and ran towards the Trauma Centre. They chased me, but fled when I shouted for the security guards.”
