DC RECEIVES PILGRIMS AT UDHAMPUR

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 27: – The first batch of pilgrims of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2018 was accorded rousing reception by District Administration Udhampur on their arrival here at Kali Mata Mandir TikriDomail.

Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, ASP, Faisal Qureshi, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, and other district officers besides eminent civil society members were present on the occasion.

The civil and police administration welcomed the pilgrims and offered light refreshment, sweets and drinking water to the pilgrims.

The DDC informed that this year the district administration has established a total of 16 Medical Aid Centres and 24 Langars including one each at district Hospital and CHC and 03 in PHCs located enroute Shri Amarnath Yatra. Besides this Control room’s, enquiry counters helpline has also been established for the convenience of yatries.

The authorities urged upon the pilgrims to utilize and avail all the facilities being extended by the government during the yatra. The pilgrims were also informed about the arrangements made for them at the base camp.

The pilgrims appreciated the goodwill gesture of Police and Civil Administration.

Later, the DDC also inaugurated two langersenroute at Tikri and interacted with the yatries.
