DC BUDGAM TAKES STOCK OF FACILITIES AT DISTRICT HOSPITAL

BUDGAM, JUNE 27: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today visited Aga Syed Yousuf Memorial District Hospital Budgam to take stock of the health facilities there being provided to the patients.

The DDC on her maiden visit to the hospital directed the rank and file of the hospital to ensure patient friendly attitude. She directed the concerned to ensure doctors and other staff is punctual and follows the duty roster properly. She warned that no dereliction of duties by anyone would be tolerated.

The DDC visited different blocks of the hospital including OPD, Tuberculosis Centre, Physiotherapy, Operation Theater, Gynae wards and interacted with number of patients to have firsthand feedback from them about the quality of services being provided.

Laying stress on cleanliness and hygiene, the DDC urged the Medical Superintendent to ensure prompt lifting of the wastage from the hospital. She also directed the concerned to ensure proper segregation of hazardous wastes.

While visiting the dispensary block of the hospital, she directed maintenance of registry of medicines available and for uploading of the same on notice board for public awareness.

She further said that efforts are being made to upgrade the hospital as a state of the art institute so that all facilities are provided to the patients under one roof. She said that she would take up the issue of ventilators and opening of Generic Medicines Store with the higher authorities to ensure that all the patient care facilities are available at Budgam hospital.

She directed the concerned officers to augment facilities and human resources at the sub-district hospitals to minimize referrals from there.

CMO Budgam, Dr, G M Dar and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Deeba briefed the DDC about the functioning of various newly installed machines at Hospital and apprised her of space and staff issues.
