Ambala, December 27: The police have registered a case against a woman for allegedly abetting the suicide of a man at Mota Majra village in Ambala.
The deceased has been identified as Lakhbir Singh, while the accused has been identified as Pinki. The deceased was a father of two.
In his complaint to the police, Harwinder Singh, deceased’s brother, alleged that Lakhbir had an illicit relation with the woman for the last four years. Due to their relation, Lakhbir’s wife had committed suicide nearly three years ago, but Lakhbir and Pinki continued their relationship. Pinki’s family started keeping an eye on her, following which Lakhbir consumed some poisonous substance on Wednesday.
Lakhbir was taken to the Ambala Civil Hospital, from where he was referred to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh. There, he was declared brought dead.
A case has been registered under Section 306 of the IPC at the Sadar police station.
