Government forces on Friday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Sumlar village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official said that the Army’s 14 RR and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the operation in Chinar Mohalla locality of Sumlar village.
“The operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area,” he said.
The searches were going on when this report was being filed.
