KUPWARA, JULY 28: Pursuant to the circular issued on July 02, district administration Kupwara retrieved 10 official quarters from unauthorized occupants.
The step was taken for facilitating accommodation of the officers/officials working in the district who have not yet been allotted lodging facilities.
It was said that as various officers/officials working in the district are facing hardship for want of government accommodation, those officials who were transferred from the district long back and are still in possession of the accommodation allotted to them should vacate the same and hand over the keys of respective quarters in the personal section of DC office within next two days.
Further, it was said that in case of any failure, the possession of accommodation will be taken up and their stock, if any will be seized and put under government custody. Moreover, action, as warranted under law, shall be initiated against the defaulters.
