For the first time after the suspension of her sons — Dushyant Chautala and Digvijay Chautala — from the INLD, Dabwali MLA Naina Singh Chautala hit out at the detractors within the party and sought people’s support for them.

Addressing a gathering during her ‘Hari Chunari Ki Chaupal’ at Gagsina village, she said a faction within the party was responsible for the suspension of her sons and it would not be able to suppress their voice.
Notably, Hisar MP Dushyant and his younger brother Digvijay were served show-cause notices and suspended from the primary membership of the party on October 10 for their alleged anti-party activities.

Naina further said that her husband Ajay Chautala had given 40 years of his life to the INLD and when he was in jail, a conspiracy was hatched to expel his sons from the party. “Is shouting slogans in favour of someone are anti-party activity. My sons did not commit any indiscipline, but they are working to strengthen the party for the last five years. Some persons are unable to digest their hard work and by issuing show-cause notices, they want to suppress their voice,” said Naina.

“My sons never demanded any post and nor desired to be the CM,” she added. “Om Prakash Chautala is the head of the family as well as the party and we have always accepted his leadership,” she said.

Hisar: Interacting with workers in Uklana segment of Hisar on Sunday, Naina said that neither the sentiments of a mother could help a person elevate to the post of chief minister, nor a bunch of people signing the papers while sitting in a room. “In a democratic set up, it is the people who have the right to elect their leader and not a bunch of people,” she said while making a veiled reference to internal squabble in the INLD.
