Popular Bollywood singer Shaan was recently been attacked with paper balls and small stones by the crowd present at his performance at the Sarusajai stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, October 28. Apparently, Shaan sung a Bengali song in Assam which didn’t go well with the crowd and they started pelting stones at him.
A video is going viral on the social media in which some people can be seen shouting “This is Assam and not Bengal” and pelting stones. The footage also shows Shaan saying “Don’t make this political. Never do this with an artist.” After the incident, Shaan took to Twitter and expressed his concern for the state.
He wrote, “Just for the records …loved my Assam Tour!! Saw the most fascinating sights…made new friends..had huge turnouts at every concert.. Over one unfortunate incident it would be Very Wrong to tarnish this Beautiful State!!! Whatever happened was in the heat of the moment”
