Gunfight broke out between militants and the government forces in Tral region of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday, police said.
An official said that a gunfight broke out after the forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chankitar village of Tral.
Reports said that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
A heavy exchange of fire was on when this report was being filed.
