KULGAM, DECEMBER 29: District Development Commissioner Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani today reviewed the functioning of Power Development Department (PDD) here at a meeting.
A detailed review of major projects being executed in the district for augmentation of power supply, transformers, electric wires and pole position, cabling, implementation of schemes like Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS), DDUGJY, RGGY II and overall functioning of PDD were reviewed in the meeting.
During the meeting, the DDC was briefed that under DDUGJY and PMDP, 22 works have been completed and 28 works are in progress while 2154 poles and 37 DTS have been installed so for under DDUGJY and PMDP schemes.
On the occasion, the DDC enjoined upon the officers of PDD to ensure better power supply to the consumers and adhere to the curtailment schedule of power supply in letter and spirit. He urged officers to gear up the field staff to keep vigil on the HT/ LT lines besides the transformers so that the people will not face any inconvenience during harsh winters.
