SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 29: The Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museums (DAAM) has appealed the people who possess museum collection particularly artifacts related to Central Asia and wishing to donate it for the regional museum Kargil to deposit the same in the office of the curator, SPS Museum, Lalmandi Srinagar against the proper receipt.
According to the press statement by the department, due acknowledgement to the donor will be given during the display of the artifacts in the galleries. It further states that the artifacts can be anything ranging from Stone sculptures, terracotta, manuscripts coins, paintings to old photographs. The items should be more than 100 years of age.
The Department is establishing a regional museum at Kargil for this purpose the land of 3 kanals has been already procured b the department.
