Class 10 results: 75.44% pass, govt schools’ success rate improves

The exam for class 10 was held in the third week of October.The J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) on Saturday declared the results of class 10 (annual) 2018 examination, stating that 75.44 per cent of the 55472 students who appeared in the exams have passed the test, compared to 62.94 per cent last year.
As per JKBOSE figures, private schools have performed better than the government schools. Out of the 29,383 private school students, 25,225 (85.85) have been declared successful. From government schools, only 16621 (63.71) of the total 26,089 qualified the test, which, however, is better than last year’s 46.70 per cent.

“We tried to declare the result in stipulated time period for the convenience of the students. It was possible due to the cooperation of the whole staff associated with the evaluation and other exam related processes,” chairperson JKBOSE VeenaPandita said, and congratulated the successful students.
Khurshid Ahmad Ganaie, advisor to the Governor, secretary school education department Ajeet Kumar Sahu, director school education Kashmir GN Itoo have also congratulated the successful candidates. They have appreciated the efforts of the government school teachers for improving the success rate in government schools.
