BARAMULLA, MAY 31: As part of the Ramadan Special Services initiated by Directorate of School Education Kashmir, Chief Education Officer Baramulla today organized a day-long district level Naatand qawwali competition here at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla. It was attended by about 300 students of various educational institutions of the district.
Deputy Chief Education Officer Balbir Singh was the chief guest whereas heads of various institutions were also present at the event. A bench of judges was also constituted under the supervision of writers Shahnaz Rashid and RanjoorTilgami.
In the event, the students who had earlier excelled in similar competitions conducted at zonal level, displayed their talent.
On the occasion, GHSS Sopore bagged Ist position in prayer competition whereas HSS Dangiwacha and HS Shiva Dangerpora bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Moreover, HSS Pattan topped in Qawali competition while as GHSS Baramulla and Zone Chandoosa bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. All the position holders were felicitated with prizes.
