KISHTWAR, AUGUST 31: Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana today withheld the salary of several revenue officers including Tehsildars and Naib –Tehsildars for non-compliance of government order regarding assured presence of Patwaris two-day week weekly to attend the public.
Pertinently, the Financial Commissioner Revenue, J&K vide Notification No:-FC(Adm) 298 of 2011 dated:- 16-12.2011, read with Circular No:- FC (NG-Ptw) 872-1 dated: 11-08-2017, has directed field Patwaris to remain available at the specified places in their respective Patwar Halqas for at least two days in a week, exclusively on every Monday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm throughout the year so as to ensure that no work of any applicant shall remain pending with them.
Taking serious note of non-compliance and public complaints, Deputy Commissioner, directed concerned DDO not to entertain salary bills of Tehsildars. Naib Tehsildars, GQs and field Patwaries of Tehsil Bonjwah Drabshalla, Kishtwar, Chatroo, Nagseni, Padder, Machail, Dachhan, Marwah Warwan, till further order.
Earlier, during various meetings of Revenue Department, Deputy Commissioner had time and again directed Tehsildars / Patwaris to ensure the implementation of the instructions in letter and spirit and furnish the details of specified places of the stay of Patwaries during Monday and Thursday in their respective Patwar Halqas so that same can be circulated for the information and convenience of general public.
