Doda: DC interacts with academicians; seeks suggestions for improving education System
DODA, APRIL 30: District Development Commissioner Doda (DDC) Dr. Sagar D. Doifode today conducted an interactive session with Education Department officials to discuss roadmap for improving Education system and inculcate professional ethics among the teaching fraternity of the District.
The DC asked academicians to give their suggestions to incorporate in the course of capacity building of teaching staff and reinvigoration of education system in Doda district.
“Administration will welcome the feedback of the teaching faculty got from their lifetime experiences in order to make the education sector in Doda not only result oriented but a learning hub”, he said.
Various measures were discussed in detail and decisions taken like grading of schools as per their performances, rationalisation of teaching staff, training for teaching faculty, besides steps required to reduce school dropouts.
Meanwhile, ADC Kishori Lal Sharma was entrusted with the task of overall supervision of executive committee constituted to chalk out the parameters regarding grading of schools, activities to be included in school curriculum, including co-curricular activities, module of training, clubbing of schools etc.
The DDC directed the Executive Committee to submit the report in stipulated time of one week after which the recommendations will be executed in letter and spirit.
The authorities were directed to bar unnecessary intervention of outsiders in the functioning of schools. The insincerity on the part of teaching staff will be dealt with expulsion from services, the meeting decided.
Other officers present were Chief Education Officer, Principal DIET, Principal Girls and Boys higher secondary school, Deputy registrar cooperative and other officials of the education department.
