New Delhi, June 1:Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the National War Memorial at India Gate on Saturday morning.
He was accompanied by the Chief of Army, General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa and Navy Chief, Admiral Karambir Singh. Also present was Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra.Singh had earlier tweeted about his visit, saying that before assuming charge as Defence Minister he wanted to “pay tributes to our brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service to the nation.”
