A leopard that had strayed close to residential areas at village Beoli of Doda in Jammu and Kashmir was captured on Wednesday by wildlife officials.
Wild Life Warden Chenab-Kishtwar, Majid Bashir, said that they have been receiving complaints from the local residents about the presence of leopard for some time.
He said the leopard which was on prowl for past ten days was trapped in a cages early morning.
“The leopard has been sent to Kishtwar, where from the animal will be sent to Manda Zoo in Jammu and will be kept there for the rest of his life,” he said.
