Cross-LoC trade suspended via Poonch amid border tension

The trade across the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan was suspended on Tuesday in view of ongoing border skirmishes.

As per official sources, thirty five trucks were lined up for trade from trade facilitation center Poonch but they were not allowed to move ahead in view of ceasefire violations.

Custodian cross LoC trade Poonch, Fareed Kohli told media that trade has been suspended for security reasons in wake of fresh ceasefire violation.

The armies of two countries have been targeting each other’s positions along the LoC in Poonch and Rajouri districts since yesterday morning.

A BSF officer and two civilians were killed in pak firing yesterday in Poonch district. Over a dozen others, including six forces’ personnel were wounded.

Pakistan media reported that three soldiers and an elderly man was killed in Indian firing in Rawalkote yesterday.
