New Delhi, June 3:An Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 transport plane is missing over Arunachal Pradesh with 13 people on board.
The aircraft got airborne on Monday from Jorhat at 1225 hours for Menchuka Advance Landing Ground.The aircraft last contacted the ground agencies at 1300 hours; thereafter there has been no contact. Since the aircraft did not reach the airfield, ‘overdue action’ was initiated by the IAF.
Overdue action is the IAF nomenclature to define a ‘missing plane’. A total of eight crew and five passengers were on board the aircraft. All available resources have been employed to locate the aircraft.
