Chandigarh, May 3:Three snatchers, including a juvenile, have been arrested by the local police.They had snatched a mobile phone from a 22-year-old girl near the 3 BRD gate on April 22 while riding a scooter.
The police said the miscreants were nabbed on May 2 at a naka near Raman Gas Agency in Ram Darbar while they were riding a scooter.The mobile phone was recovered from the suspects, two of whom have been identified as Vicky, alias Viku (20), and Amitesh, alias Prince (21), both residents of Ram Darbar. The police said the victim was known to Vicky.
The juvenile was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to a juvenile home.
The police said the miscreants used a scooter registered in the name of Vicky’s mother in the snatching. “We have recovered another mobile phone from them, which is suspected to have been snatched from someone,” the police said.
