New Delhi, July 4: Posters accusing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of corruption and theft surfaced in the national capital on Thursday. The posters were installed by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and Rajouri Garden MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa. He has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener of constructing Delhi schools at a much higher price than the standard cost.

One of the posters had a caricature image of Arvind Kejriwal showing him holding a black bag full of money and wearing a prisoner’s uniform. The poster read, “The one who claims himself, to be honest, turned out to be the biggest thief.”

“A school room which usually costs Rs 5 lakh to be constructed was made in Rs 25 lakh by Arvind Kejriwal,” further read the poster. It also mentioned Manjinder Singh Sirsa’s name at the bottom.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa also took to his official Twitter handle saying “ek baar nahi hazaar baar kahunga – Kejriwal chor hai (Not once but I will say it a thousand times – Kejriwal is a thief).” In another tweet, Sirsa alleged that the scam carried out by Arvind Kejriwal will amount to crores of rupees.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been vehemently opposing the regime of Arvind Kejriwal ever since he came to power in 2015. Shiromani Akali Dal, which is an ally of the BJP, keeps targeting the AAP government in Delhi every now and then.

As Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, which are to be held in 2020, are getting closer, all the major political parties in the national capital have come at loggerheads routinely taking pot shots at each other.
