Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested the youth who threw grenade at Jammu bus stand earlier in thre day.
One person died and over thirty others were injured in the blast that took place at 11:45 am.
DGP, Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh said that the grenade thrower was arrested within hours of the blast.
The accused has been identified as Yasir Javed Bhat alias Arhan of Khanpura, Dasan, Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
In preliminary interrogation, the accused revealed that he had started from Kulgam with the grenade yesterday and reached Jammu today morning, said Inspector General of Police, Jammu, Manish Kumar Sinha.
“We are also collecting his past crime history and details from local police stations,” he said.
