Three Kashmiri youth detained in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir

Rajouri, May 7: Three youth hailing from south Kashmir’s Shopian district were detained by the police after they were moving “suspiciously” in a village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district.

A source said the youth – all residents of Imam Sahib tehsil of Shopian – were detained last evening from Bareri village of Nowshera following a complaint by the locals.

He said a police team from Nowshera police station rushed to the village after the locals informed them that the youth were moving suspiciously.

“All three youth were detained on the spot and taken to Nowshera police station,” said the source.

Senior superintendent of police Rajouri, Yougal Manhas said that the youth are being questioned and more details will be shared later.
