Training session for Micro-Observers held at Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, APRIL 08: To ensure hassle-free and fair conduct of upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in the district, a training session of Micro-Observers was conducted, here today.
The training session was held under the supervision of General Observer (for Assembly Segments of District Kishtwar) M. Joy Singh and District Election Officer Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana.
ACD Kishtwar, Anil Chandail, Nodal Officer SVEEP and Training, Anoop Kumar, Master Trainers, Pardeep Koul and Sunil Kumar, ENT Kishtwar, Angrez Singh besides other concerned were present on the occasion.
The Observer exhorted upon the Micro-Observers to adhere to the guidelines of ECI in letter and spirit for the smooth conduct of the election process.
The Micro-Observers are being deployed at polling stations, who would directly work under the control and supervision of the General Observer.
The DEO impressed upon the Micro-Observers to stay pro-active to keep close vigil on all the poll activities.
On the occasion, the participants were imparted elaborate training regarding the preparation of polling parties, maintaining of law and order. They were briefed about various other guidelines issued by Election Commission of India.
Meanwhile, the Master trainers acquainted the micro- observers about the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines in detail.
The trainers explained about the functioning of Ballot Unit, Control Unit and other allied functions and operations of the EVMs. The sealing of Control Unit and VVPAT was also demonstrated.
