5 people killed in road accident in Haryana’s Jhajjar district

Jhajjar, May 8:Wedding celebrations turned into a tragedy when five people, including the brother and nephew of the groom, were killed in a road mishap near Dujana village in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The incident took place when they were coming back to Mehrana village from Beri town here in a Swift Dezire car. The car rammed into a stationary truck near Niracha Dham on the Dujana-Beri road leading to the death of all five on the spot.

The police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to the civil hospital for postmortem.

The deceased have been identified as groom’s brother Sachin, nephew Satish, another kin Yogesh and their two friends–Shubham and Devender–from Uttar Pradesh.

Nar Singh, investigation officer, said a case had been booked against the truck driver who is absconding.
