SAMBA, JANUARY 08: District Information Centre today organised an awareness camp programme highlighting social issues and schemes including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Gender Equality and financial literacy here at remote Panchayat Mahoregarh.
The camp, organized under the supervision of District Information Officer Ajay Sharma, was inaugurated by Sarpanch, Puran Chand Sharma.
Eminent locals including Haji Shafi Mohammad, Karnail Singh, Janak Singh and Mohan Singh besides a large number of people attended the camp.
During the camp, the participants were made aware about the declining child sex ratio, Girl child rights and various schemes for women empowerment like Ladli Beti scheme, PMMVY and others.
New Sargam, a social and cultural club, artist Ajit Sharma and other artists presented various theme based songs, Nukkad-Nattaks, and other educative performances.
