New Delhi/Chandigarh, May 9:Former Punjab bureaucrat SS Channy on Thursday joined the BJP in the presence of Union minister Nitin Gadkari here.
Channy was the deputy commissioner of Gurdaspur and Ludhiana during the terrorism days in Punjab.He is Punjab’s outgoing Chief Information Commissioner. Channy was also a claimant to the SAD ticket from Ludhiana. He is the son-in-law of former President Giani Zail Singh.
