RO Udhampur reviews arrangements for counting
KATHUA, MAY 9:- Returning Officer Udhampur Parliamentary constituency, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a meeting of AROs, Nodal Officers and senior officers of concerned departments to review the arrangements for counting of votes polled for recently held Parliamentary Elections.
The Returning Officer asked the concerned officers to put in place an appropriate mechanism to ensure that the counting process is conducted in most professional and efficient manner. He emphasized on elaborate plan for security arrangements, traffic plan, crowd management, deployment of staff, counting of votes and mechanism for declaration of results on the day of counting.
It was informed that no person without valid ID proof will be allowed to enter the premises of the counting centers. Likewise, the EVMs will be moved from strong room to the counting center through a specific route and would be escorted by the designated officers as per the guidelines of ECI, RO added.
The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Dr. Shubra Sharma, ADC, Ghanshyam Singh, ACR, Devinder Paul, ACD, Sukhpal Singh, Assistant Retuning Officers, Nodal officers and other officers from various other departments.
